The longest-running blues festival in the Southeastern United States returns Saturday, May 16, 2015! The Piedmont Blues Preservation Society, in association with YES! Weekly  present the 29th Annual Carolina Blues Festival.  We have international, national, regional and local blues acts on the docket for a day of blues under the big tent, rain or shine!  The Carolina Blues Festival is a family friendly event and we’re expanding this year at our new location, Barber Park.  You’ll enjoy more food trucks, other food vendors, arts & craft and gift vendors and much more.  Check out our Festival website for more information.

FAQs

What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?
Parking:   Free parking will be available at the Joint Nanotechnology Center at Lee and Florida Streets and the Hayes-Taylor YMCA on Florida Street.  Preferred Parking at Barber Park is included in our Blues Bundle Ticket packages.  Other parking is available at Barber Park for $5.00 a car.

What can/can’t I bring to the event?
Please bring lawn chairs, folding chairs, blankets or beach towels. No chairs will be provided.  We will have the big tent this year, providing some shade and protection from the elements.

Don’t bring coolers, bottles, cans, outside food, or beverages. We’ll have beer, wine, soft drinks, bottled water, and other beverages for sale.  We’ll also provide a variety of awesome food trucks so you can eat lunch and dinner with us.

NO firearms, fireworks, or weapons of ANY KIND!

Audio and video recording equipment is prohibited inside the festival area.
No pets are allowed.
• By ordinance of the Fire Marshall, smoking is prohibited under the big tent.
Flash photography is allowed.

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?
To keep the lines flowing, we’ll need you to bring your ticket. We will scan your ticket at the gate, so please bring the printout or mobile ticket QR code with you.

What is the refund policy?
No refunds-all sales are final. The event will go on, rain or shine, under the Big Tent at Barber Park Amphitheatre.

Is my registration/ticket transferrable?
It is, but you’ll have to change your tickets to the persons name you’re transferring your tickets. Here’s a quick tutorial: http://help.eventbrite.com/customer/portal/articles/430100-how-to-update-your-ticket-registration-information 

The name on the registration/ticket doesn’t match the attendee. Is that okay?
If names and tickets don’t match, it causes us concern. We wonder why you have someone else’s ticket.Will that person show up and be blocked from entering? Please see the FAQ on ticket transfers, above. We’d rather keep everyone happy and minimize problems.
